Krčnik

Around 800 m above Kotline and Kožbana, the Kožbanjšček stream has dug out a very picturesque gorge, called Krčnik.

The gorge is 40 m long, from half meter to 6 m wide and to up to 6 m deep. The most unusual is the first, immense groove. The water falls in a 1,5 m high cascade. Somehow in the middle of the groove the water has formed a natural bridge that stands 1 m high over the channel. The arch is 5 m long, 1,5 m thick and up to 1 m wide.

The rushing water has shaped it so that it is nicely rounded and flat. It is classified as one of the most beautiful natural bridges in Slovenia.
