Bjana

The Bjana winery is named after the village of Biljana. Here, in the cellars of the restored 13th-century Dorišče manor house, top-quality sparkling wines are matured and, encouraged by the excellent ratings of the Decanter wine competition, conquer the world. A newly built, high-tech wine cellar nearby allows us to master the technological processes that make our wines of the highest quality. Bjana's sparkling wines are produced using the classic method and each in its own way strongly express the character of the terroir. With their lively bubbles, they testify to the beauty of the Brda landscape, the interaction of Mediterranean and Alpine climatic influences, the mineral richness of the lapis lazuli soils and, in particular, the perseverance of the Brda people, with which the Sirk family has been setting the benchmarks of Slovenian sparkling wine for more than three decades.
