Parish Church of St. Hyeronimus, Kozana

One of the pride of Brda's sacral architecture is the Church of St. Hyeronimus in Kozana, since the idea concept for the bell tower renovation was made by architect Jože Plečnik. In 1956, the Kozana people, according to his design, raised the bell tower, which was given its present temple-like finish. The church is adorned with a Baroque altarpiece and an altar painting from 1714. After the two wars, only one bell survived, which was replaced by three smaller bells when the bell tower was rebuilt. The bells have been replaced twice more with bigger and better ones, most recently in 1999.
