BRDA CHERRY FESTIVAL in the villages of Brda 3 and 4 June 2023
Experience the perfect taste and vivid colours of this royal red fruit and all the events that will take you to discovering the land of the cherries!
New concept, new experiences!
This time, five villages host a series of events that will connect the whole Brda region! Dobrovo, Medana, Kojsko, Gonjače and Kozana are the venues of this year’s Cherry Festival. Every village has a special charm, story and offers a unique experience. Discover the home of the Brda cherry! From all angles and views! This year, the ethnological highlights of the traditional procession are therefore placed at the very heart of the villages of Brda.
Get to know all the venues/villages with a free organised bus shuttle service.
VENUES AND PROGRAMME
On Saturday and Sunday, all locations will host market stands with local products, culinary experiences, cultural and children's activities, an art extempore, workshops with local people, relaxed moments and, of course, lots and lots of cherries.

Saturday, 3.6. 2023 - Heroes of the Vineyards cycling marathon
The traditional sports event of Klet Brda, which takes place as part of the Cherry Festival, and will take place on the established 108-kilometer long route Ljubljana - Dobrovo, in which more than 1,000 cyclists participate.
START: Parking lot in front of Klet Brda wine shop in Ljubljana - Tržaška 134 (VIČ)
ROUTE: Ljubljana 8.30 – Vrhnika 9.05 – Logatec 9.40 – Kalce 9.50 – Godovič 10.15 – Črni vrh 10.30 – Strmec 10.50 – Col 10.55 – Ajdovščina 11.10 – 11.45 – Nova Gorica 12.30 – Solkan 12.40 – Podsabotin 12.55 – CILJ DOBRO VO Klet Brda 1:30 p.m At 12.55 we welcome cyclists along the route (Podsabotin, Hum, Kojsko, Šmartno, Zali breg, Dobrovo)
Complete closure of the road in Brdy: between 12.45 p.m. and 1.45 p.m.!

Sunday, 4.6.2023 - Hike from cherry to cherry
More than 1,000 hikers take part in the traditional hike. Along the way, you will be able to taste Briške cherries, olive oil, frtalja and homemade pastries. At the end, pasta, a drink and a gift await you.
Start in arrival Klet Brda, Dobrovo.
